tUTORS

As of February 2008, SAS Tutors began operation out of a small agency on North Road in Durham City, providing after-school and holiday tutoring for pupils who want to supplement their school education.

Adjacent to the bus station and a short walk from the train station, we are within easy reach of local transport links, and close to town-centre parking. We also have a family room available for parents wishing to stay during their child’s sessions, or we can arrange one-to-one tuition at the pupil’s homes with parental supervision throughout.

All our tutors are highly qualified and subject to rigorous backgrounds checks prior to employment, ensuring that only the best staff members are provided for your child’s sessions.

Why choose us?

• We are committed to carefully planning tutorial sessions to match the needs of the pupils

• Our agency provides a relaxed and secure environment, with a maximum of 8 pupils per group, to ensure that no individual gets overlooked and to encourage group participation and self-confidence building.

• The group sessions are 1.5 hours long, which with regular attendance, will enhance the educational experience of your child by supplementing their learning across all levels of the National Curriculum.

• We will provide feedback at the end of each half term to report on your child’s progress, and each term we will hold open evenings to discuss any concerns or queries you may have.

Our fees are £25 per group session (1.5 hours) which is payable in advance per half term, and £35 per one-to-one session (1 hour) based either at your home with parental supervision or at our North Road premises.
